Baale of Alengongo/Akobo/Ojurin community, Chief Timothy Olukunle Sanda, on Friday, said the newly inaugurated ultra-modern hall, Primary Health Care centre and customary court will boost social and economic growth of his domain.

Speaking to the Nigerian Tribune on the sideline of his one year coronation anniversary and conferment of chieftaincy titles on some prominent Nigerians, Sanda said the provision of the amenities was part of his agenda to bring about the physical development of Alegongo and create enabling environment for all the residents of the community.

He noted that the commitment and support received from members of the communities, including the landlords, have enhanced his vision to change the narratives of Alegongo for better and place the community in the global space.

“I feel elated today being my first year coronation anniversary and the conferment of chieftaincy titles on some subjects, who have distinguished themselves in their respective professional career. I have a strong conviction that the newly inaugurated projects today will go a long way in promoting the growth of our community

“Though, work is still ongoing on the vocational centre and soon it will be completed. The registry complex is 50 perecent completed. Members of the community have been given a lot of support of funds to implement these projects.  The Asiwaju of Ibadanland, Chief Bode Amao and the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, contributed towards the completion of the ultra-modern hall and other projects, which we inaugurated some hours ago,’’ he said.

Earlier, Sanda had conferred chieftaincy title of Otun Balogun of Alegongo/Akobo/Ojurin on the political head of Lagelu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Alhaji Bashir Lanre Latinwo, while Chief (Mrs) Aiyegbayo  Olufunke, bagged the title of Osi Iyalode, among other numerous chieftaincy title holders.
