The leader of Dominion Grace Community AIDS Foundation,  Chukwudi Solomon Amechi, has assured  the people of Oyo State of the readiness of the foundation  to cater for the  out—of—school children and the aged in the society.

Amechi  said this  during the inauguration of the foundation in Ibadan on Thursday.

He  said it is necessary to see to the wellbeing of underprivileged in the society  so as  to   complement  efforts  of the  government.

He disclosed that the vision is to rekindle hope for the hopeless and provide resources for those without  essentials of life.

“We want to improve the health and lives of the  people affected by poverty or emergencies by providing essential resources needed for their  development

“Having worked with some micro- finance banks, I notice that most of our women are coming for loans to cater for their needs so as to survive and that prompted me to establish the foundation

‘’Our main target, the people we are reaching out are the school dropouts and those who cannot afford to  go to school that opted for  vocational  skills such as  shoe making, Information and Communication Technology ( ICT),  barbing and  hairdressing.  After learning these skills, we can establish them  so that they  can     start  doing  productive ventures  to  cater for themselves

“We also have a Dominion Grace Foundation School, which is mainly for dropout children due  to lack   of  necessary resources to cater for them .  We want to cater for them and bring the best out of them

“We have team members working together. This is not about me alone, there are other relevant stakeholders  of great minds,” he said.

On  his part,  the  guest speaker  on the occasion,  Pastor Emmanuel Adele of Dunamis International Gospel Centre in  Ibadan,   urged  the NGO to work with integrity.

“The inauguration  of this foundation is a landmark event.  I have known Amechi for years   for impacting positively on the needy.  He as been assisting  people in various communities.  He as been  reaching out to the poor in his own little way in making life  meaningful    for  them,” he said.
