The current hardship ravaging Nigeria will one day come to an end, said the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Ministry, Pastor Dr. William Kumuyi.

The convener of Global Crusade with Kumuyi, GCK stated this on Wednesday in Abia while briefing newsmen on the 6-day church programs scheduled to hold in Aba with the theme, “Glorious transformation Through Christ”.

He noted, “In the whole world, there is this hardship. Even in the West, there are complaints, that people are losing their jobs, robots are replacing people and the taxes people pay.

“We (Nigeria) have our peculiarities. We (the church) are praying and encouraging the people we can touch to see how we can, all together, improve the economy.

“Six months ago. We know the rate of the Dollar to the Naira, but 2 to 6 months after, things are not exactly the same. We believe we will come out of it”.

He used the opportunity to express his mind that religious institutions’ establishment of schools are at will as empowered by the constitution and the educational system in the country.

According to him in the area of exorbitant school fees by churches owned by churches and where members who funded it could not afford to train their children, the cleric described it as constitutional, adding, “This is why the churches are making use of the opportunity to establish the schools. It would not be right to say that others could do it but churches must not. I can not knock any church or founder. School fees depend on them and their churches”.

Fielding questions on the proliferation of churches in the country, the clergyman said, “People have the freedom to meet their needs, hence this ministry, this fellowship, this assembly and this church.

“As for unifying them, that is why we have CAN with the motto, “That They All May Be One”, as well as the Pentecostal Federation of Nigeria, PFN and whatever blocks, do whatever they can to make sure that the churches are one.

Speaking on his programme, Pastor Kumuyi said the 6-day programme is meant to inculcate change in people for the better, “and from inside to outside, that is, the inner and external mind. We can change some external forms, but only God can change us from the inside for a total change of the spirit, soul and body”.

The programme he said is organized not by Deeper Life Ministry alone, but in alliance “with the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, pastors and leaders of various blocks in CAN, who are putting things together to follow up so that the transformed by the programme can continue in the miracle of transformation the Lord would have performed in their lives”.
