Designer and stylist Nnedosa Ifeoma Roseline, popularly known as Ify Pineapple, is on a mission to break the Guinness World Record for the longest fashion show ever recorded.
The 27-year-old entrepreneur and fashion enthusiast, who hails from Anambra State, holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Benin.
The ambitious event, which kicked off at midnight on Monday, April 22, 2024, in Warri, Delta State, and is slated to run until 4 am on Friday, April 26, 2024, aims to surpass the remarkable 100-hour mark.
Ify Pineapple’s vision goes beyond personal achievement as she aims to create a platform that showcases the creativity in fashion of indigenous fashion designers in Warri and environs while showcasing the finest models to come out of Warri and Nigeria to the rest of the world.
Since the commencement of the marathon fashion extravaganza, designers have generously contributed their creations, with over 700 designers gracing the runway with their distinctive styles. Backstage, Ify Pineapple and her team have styled an impressive array of over 14,000 outfits, ensuring that each model embodies the essence of elegance and innovation.
As the event unfolds, models are set to strut the runway tirelessly, demonstrating their endurance and passion for fashion throughout the grueling 100-hour spectacle.
With every stitch sewn and every step taken, Ify Pineapple and her collaborators are not just chasing a world record; they are weaving together the vibrant tapestry of Nigerian fashion, showcasing the creativity and dynamism of Delta State’s fashion community to the world.
