Gunmen have killed three persons in a fresh attack in Jebbu Miango community, Bassa Local Governement Area of Plateau State.

Jebbu Miango is the community where over 400 houses were burnt last week during an attack by gunmen who also killed several people, forcing the survivors to flee their homes.

It was assembled that the three persons, who were among those displaced, had left their camp in the neighbouring Miango town to Jebbu Miango in search of food when they were shot dead by the gunmen.

The Publicity Secretary for the Miango Youth Development Association, Mr Nuhu Bitrus, confirmed the killings on Tuesday

 

 

Bitrus said, “Three of our people have been killed in Jebbu Miango. The victims were three women who were among those who escaped during the recent attack in Jebbu Miango.”

Bitrus, who gave the names of the victims as Sarah Ishaya, Sibi Yakubu and Seri Danladi, said that the matter had been reported to the police.

The spokesman for the state police command, Ubah Ogaba, said, “Nine suspects have been arrested and are giving the security personnel useful information.”
