Media personality Noble Igwe and comedian Destalker have thrown shades at actor Yul Edochie, following the establishment of his online church.

The actor, who has been under the media spotlight since the tragic death of his son and the collapse of his marriage to May after he welcomed a baby from another woman, declared his decision to heed God’s calling by founding a church.

However, Edochie’s announcement garnered criticism from some quarters of the media, accusing him of seeking attention rather than genuinely embracing a divine calling.

Igwe, without explicitly naming Edochie, expressed surprise that an actor could abruptly transition from real estate to ministry within a short span, dismissing the decision as questionable.

Igwe who didn’t direct his attack at Edochie further questioned the sincerity of the actor’s newfound religious endeavour, implying that it might be a publicity stunt rather than a genuine spiritual calling.

His skepticism added fuel to the ongoing discourse surrounding Edochie’s decision to venture into the ministry, inviting scrutiny from both media figures and the public.

Comedian Destalker joined the chorus of critics, bluntly labeling Edochie as a lazy individual attempting to juggle between various professions.

As the debate surrounding Yul Edochie’s unconventional career shift intensified, supporters and critics alike weighed in on the actor’s motivations.

While some defended his right to explore diverse interests, others echoed concerns about the sincerity and authenticity of his decision, emphasizing the need for public figures to be discerning in their pursuits.

Edochie has however been celebrating the positive reactions that trailed the unveiling of his new calling as he shared how comments and likes flooded his page and the YouTube page from which he would be speaking to his followers.
