Nationnewslead report that The founder and Principal of Odofin Oasis Foundation, Hon Seun Odofin has congratulated the Owaloko of Iloko Ijesa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe, on his second coronation anniversary.

He describes Oba Dr Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe as a vibrant, visionary and progressive monarch who has been at the forefront of the quest for a society where justice, equity and fairness reign supreme.

Hon Seun Odofin in his congratulatory message says the foremost traditional ruler has been making a very significant impact in the development of Iloko Ijesa in particular and Ijesa North Federal Constituency in general since his ascension to the exalted throne of his forefathers two years ago.

The Oriade local government born politician says the monarch with the royal stool has used his position as a traditional ruler to promote peace among the various groups in Ijesa North Federal Constituency as well as working with relevant stakeholders and traditional institutions to advance the socio-economic development of the people.

It would be recalled that the appointment and election of the Owaloko of Iloko Ijesa was confirmed by the Osun State Executive Council under the able leadership of former Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola on 19th of April, 2021.

The story of His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Akeem Ogungbangbe is compelling and profound one. One of tenacity, resilience, foresightedness and vision.

The hallowed office of a traditional ruler is not only for consolidation of age-long dynasties but also for the preservation of our time-proven customs and traditions. This is why the attainment of such exalted position comes with much responsibility as articulated in accustomed parlance that “uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.”

Besides descending from the bloodline of monarchy, a significant level of self-awareness and thoughtfulness must be shown by a heir and prospective king. Such character must be forthright, honourable, selfless and uncompromising.

These aforementioned attributes are a sine-qua-non for any would-be king, and the possession of these and more by Oba Dr. Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe, the Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa was what adequately qualified him for his imminent role as a custodian of ancestral norms and traditions.

The APC stalwart prays to God to grant the monarch long life, good health and peaceful and purposeful reign to continue to contribute meaningfully to the development, unity and harmony in Ijesa North Federal Constituency.

“On behalf of my team and the good people of Ijesa North Federal Constituency, I congratulate our amiable royal father and pray that peace, progress and prosperity continue to be the hallmark of his reign” Odofin added.
