As Christians mark this year’s Easter Celebration, a renowned administrator and prominent figure in Osun All Progressive Congress, Barr. David Seun Odofin has greeted Christians across the world.
The erstwhile candidate of APC for Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in his message felicitated Christians on the completion of the 40-Days fasting commemorating the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Osun State-born politician and Abuja-based philanthropist advised believers to at all times exhibit Christ-like virtues of love, humility, endurance, empathy, forgiveness, generosity, hope and courage.
“I congratulate Christians across the world on this year’s occasion of Easter commemorating the 40-Days fasting of Jesus Christ our Savior and His afterwards crucification, death and resurrection.
This is another time of sober reflection. A time to imbibe Christian-like virtues of love, humility, endurance, empathy, forgiveness, generosity, hope and courage as exemplified by Jesus Christ throughout His lifetime.
Despite numerous challenges facing our country, we must not lose hope in a rebirth processes aiming at restoring the nation to her glorious years. Jesus the Messiah also encountered various challenges and didn’t despised the processes. A very tough but a promising journey. He eventually overcame every tribulation.”
Hon. Odofin noted that everyone has a role to play in nation building. He admonished leaders at all levels to rule with fear of God and the followers to always exercise their civic responsibilities and to continue providing every support needed to make legitimate authorities succeed.
He emphasized that Nigeria is blessed with natural and human resources that can make her great but had suffered courageous leaders that can take decisive decisions to make the country works for all citizens irrespective of faith, tribe, social status or political leanings.
The consummate politician and former SSA to the Speaker of the 9th National Assembly on Administration and Legislative Compliance appreciated Nigerians for showing unbiased understanding to endure some tough decisions taken by the present administration in the best interest of our country. He said Nigeria is already coming out of the woods and all hands must be on deck to fight saboteurs of Nigeria’s growth.
He wishes Nigerians and all Christians across the world special joy, peace and lots of divine favour on this solemn occasion of Easter.
