The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) has concluded plans to honour the Baàmẹ̀kọ́ of Ibadanland, Chief Saheed Oladele with ambassadorial conferment.

Saheed Oladele’s decoration as Grand Ambassador of Ibadan Culture will coincide with the opening of the Office of Baàmẹ̀kọ́ of Ibadanland.

The event will take place on Saturday 20th of January 2024.

The new office is opposite former Governor Segun Agagu’s House at Bodija, Ibadan.

Our correspondent gathered that all the directors of the different departments within the Office of Baàmẹ̀kọ́ will be sworn in on the same day.

The directors will be called OBIT, Office of Baàmẹ̀kọ́ of the Ibadanland Team.

Oladele in his reaction, pledged that he would use the office of the Baameko to move the education standard of Ibadan to the next level.

“As I said on the Iwo Road Billboard above I consider holding the prestigious title of Baàmẹ̀kọ́ of Ibadanland as a worthy call to service, it is now time to walk the talk.

“I am proud to have gathered brilliant and competent people to move education in all the 11 local government areas of Ibadan forward”.
