Nationnewslead reports that The ancient town of Ipetu-Ijesa, which is the Headquarters of Oriade South LCDA was greeted with pomp and pageantry as Ojumu Group organized a well attended forum yesterday, Friday 5th March 2021 to further drum support for the re-election of Alhaji Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola as the Executive Governor of State of Osun for the second term. The APC Party Secretariat where the event was held was filled to capacity as many party enthusiasts trooped in to show solidarity to Ojumu Group for its genuine efforts to promote our party, All Progressives Congress and the incumbent Governor.
The Chairman/Founder of Ojumu Foundation, Dr. Desmond Oludare Ojumu who was ably represented by Ojumu Foundation Director – General, Hon. Olaniyi Agboola thanked everyone present in the meeting and told them that it is important for every party member to see the task of re-electing His Excellency, Dr. Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola for a second term as a collective responsibility. The erudite politician and philantropist, Dr. Ojumu described Mr. Governor as a great and outstanding achiever who has taken the State to an enviable height among comity of States in Nigeria which has recently earned him the Business Day Award of the Best Governor of the Year 2020.
The APC Party Chairman in Oriade South LCDA, Hon. Kayode Ajewole( a. k. a Golo) who was in attendance remarked that truly our amiable Governor needs to be supported as a Progressive Governor in order to retain power in APC fold, that it is only continuity that can give us desired results of all round development in the State. He( Hon. Ajewole) further admonished everyone present to emulate the good gesture of Dr. Ojumu and his team by preaching the gospel of Governor Oyetola for Second Term in every nook and cranny of the State of Osun. Hon. Gbeminiyi Arowosegbe who is a member of the Top Management Team of the Group charged the attendees to see many projects and programmes embarked upon and executed by the Governor Oyetola led administration as reasons why we need to have him in Abere till 2026. Hon. Arowosegbe who was the former CDC Chairman in Oriade Local Government Area of State of Osun enumerated some of the achievements of Mr. Governor to include revamping of Primary Health Centres in all the 332 Wards across the State, Road Construction and Reconstruction, Prompt payment of Salary, Agricultural Development, Investment opportunities, Kicking off of Olaiya flyover in Osogbo to mention a few. Hon. Gbenga Obatuyi who is the Party Secretary complemented what others have said and posited that we need peace to develop as a State and only APC can guarantee the needed harmony and peaceful co-existence.
In the same vein, Mrs. Alaba Afolabi( a. k. a Oosa) who is the Coordinator of Ojumu Women Forum advocated for true support for Mr. Governor without compromise at any point in time. She said further that it will be better if someone like Dr. Desmond Oludare Ojumu can be supported to represent our Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly come 2023 because Dr. Ojumu has proven beyond doubt that he is loyal, responsible, reliable, trustworthy and committed to his party, All Progressives Congress.
However, Mr. Rasheed Oyetunji of the Pubic Enlightenement Directorate of Ojumu Foundation used the medium to sensitize the teeming attendees especially those who have not registered to avail themselves of another opportunity of the extention of the exercise till 31st March 2021 and ensure they all register and revalidate their membership in order to be a card carrying member of our great party, All Progressives Congress.
