Nationnewslead reports that Officers and men of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Osun state command were agog today, Thursday 11th December,2020 as promoted officers were decorated.
While speaking at the event, the head of Administration’s, DC Ibrahim Atanda lauded the newly promoted officers for an impressive punctuality and turnout at the event, adding that the action showed they deserve the honour.
In his own address, the State commandant, Mr Abdulkadir Sulu Alao, said the celebration was supposed to be an elaborate one however, the challenges of the commissioning of the new state headquarters made the event to be on a low key.
Commandant Sulu, who charged the new decorated officers said “promotion comes with higher responsibilities and the seats of Assistant Commandant and Deputy Commandant will be hotter” therefore, they must be psychologically prepared for the task ahead.
The State Commandant appealed to the officers who are yet to benefit from the promotion exercise not to loose hope as their day of Joy will surely come.
Deputy Commandant Olufemi Awofade, who spoke on behalf of the newly decorated officers ascribed Glory to God, thanked the Commandant General,Mr Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu for the opportunity and appreciated the State Commandant for organising the event while promising to put in their best in the service of father land.
