The senator representing Niger East senatorial district  in the National Assembly,  Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, at the weekend, hugged his political opponent and candidate on  the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Isyku Ibrahim Kuta, at the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal, adding  that their bond as brothers supercedes politics.

Musa, who appeared as a  defence witness at the tribunal on Saturday in Minna, insisted that he scored the highest number of votes cast at the February 25  National Assembly election  as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission  (INEC).

Nigerian Tribune gathered that the courtroom was jam-packed with both  the All Progressives Congress (APC) and PDP supporters when  Musa was called to the witness box to testify in the case challenging his victory at the Niger East senatorial district’s election.

A mild drama, however,  ensued before Musa  took  the oath of a witness. He went  forward, hugged and embraced  Kuta  in brotherly manner, describing the legal icon , as ‘ my elder brother,’

Kuta, who was challenging the electoral victory of  Musa  at the tribunal and also leading his legal team for the petitioner, soon began to drill the senator in cross examination on documents of the election which are now exhibits at the tribunal.
