The Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe has received a humanitarian award from the Rotary Club of Osogbo Metro in recognition of his meritious service to humanity.
NATIONNEWSLEAD assembled that the monarch was nominated as an awardee as a result of his exemplary role in the uplifting of the society to bring about development by empowering people within his immediate society and the world at large.
The award was presented to the traditional ruler at Julius Event Centre Hall, Technical School Area, Osogbo during the Investiture ceremony of Rotary Club Osogbo Metro 9th President Rotarian Okunola Oluwakemi Grace Ogungbangbe and the launch of the club’s projects.
Presenting the award on behalf of Rotary Club to Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa, the Awaraja of Iwaraja Ijesa, Olowu of Kuta’s wife Olori Fatimat Makama among other dignities praised the monarch.
Describing the Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa as a man of great thought, they commended him greatly for growing the society positively and urged him not to stop facilitating developmental projects to communities.
