THE Philip Asiodu Institute (PAI) has launched a national essay competition to promote literacy and encourage healthy and intellectual competition among secondary school students across the country.

A statement signed on Wednesday by Chief P.C. Asiodu on behalf of Philip Asiodu Institute, said the inaugural secondary school essay competition with the theme: ‘Encouraging Patriotism and Nurturing Nigerian Leaders of Tomorrow,’ is open to all secondary students in the country.

He said the competition “aims at identifying and encouraging young talents while providing the winners with valuable mentorship and support in order to make a significant impact on the future of Nigeria.”

The institute noted that the PAI competition was designed to nurture and empower future Nigerians leaders; deepen national consciousness, showcase and hone their writing prowess.

The statement reads in part: “The Philip Asiodu Institute is dedicated to nurturing and empowering future Nigerian leaders, among others. The competition is open to all secondary school students across Nigeria, who are encouraged to participate and showcase their writing talents.
