The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has congratulated Senator Simon Lalong for his swearing-in as the Senator representing Plateau South District and Senator Diket Plang for his victory at the Court of Appeal.

The APC, in a statement signed by its State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Sylvanus Namang, stated that Senator Lalong’s transmutation to the Red Chambers of the National Assembly was yet another giant stride in his political career, which began in 1999 with his election as a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly.

“A child of circumstances, the two-term Executive Governor of Plateau State ran a full circle of his political trajectory with his appointment as the Honourable Minister of Labour and Employment by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, after successfully serving as the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

“Returning to his familiar turf as a parliamentarian, the APC in the state, no doubt, believes would be of value addition to the state as he is going there as a ranking member with an enormous wealth of experience.”

In the same vein, the party also congratulated Senator Diket Satso Plang over his victory at the Court of Appeal, which affirmed him as the rightful winner of the Plateau Central Senatorial District election.

According to the party, Senator Diket Plang’s victory has completed the overwhelming victory of the APC at the appellate level against the structureless PDP in the State.

“With this, Senator Diket Plang, who is also a one-time member of the Plateau State House of Assembly and former Commissioner in Plateau State and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Labour and Employment, would now concentrate on his legislative functions without distraction.

Therefore, the APC in the state urged the two Senators, as good ambassadors of the state, to work in harmony with other members of the Plateau caucus in the National Assembly to attract the most-needed dividends of democracy to the state.
