Prophet Tomi Arayomi, the founder of RIG Nation and Pioneer Church in the United Kingdom, has announced that he and his family have relocated out of Nigeria until a “better Nigeria” is achieved.

Arayomi, who holds British citizenship, was arrested alongside his wife, Tahmar, and aide, Emmanuel Ezerika, on April 7 at the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport in Abuja by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Although the reason for the arrest was unclear, sources claimed that Arayomi was taken in for giving “inciting prophecies.”

Arayomi and his wife were later released on Friday night, but their aide remains in the custody of the security operatives.

In an Instagram post, Arayomi thanked his supporters and narrated how he, his wife, and his aide were arrested by six armed agents, who did not identify themselves as DSS or any law enforcement agency.

Arayomi stated that they were taken to the DSS headquarters, where they were interrogated, and their mobile phones were seized.

He added that they were locked in a room with no knowledge of the grounds for their arrest until media and social media pressure forced the DSS to release his wife and him.

Arayomi’s aide, however, remains in DSS custody, and the DSS has been elusive about his exact whereabouts.

Arayomi said that his family had relocated out of Nigeria to safety, but they would be returning soon to a new Nigeria.

He noted that, although they had to make the decision abruptly, they would continue to press, pray and give God no rest until Nigeria becomes a praise on the earth.

He emphasized that they remained committed to Nigeria and the many great leaders they encountered during their time there.

The DSS declined to comment on the issue and did not give details on the reason for the arrests. Arayomi’s relocation from Nigeria has raised concerns about the state of the country’s security and religious freedom.
