To give residents enough opportunity to go and register for their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC), the Ogun State Government has cancelled this month’s environmental sanitation exercise.

The exercise, which is supposed to hold on Saturday, July 30, will not take place across the 20 local government areas of the state.

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Engr Rasak Olabode Ojetola, said this cancellation would “allow residents of the state to participate in the ongoing National Voters Registration Exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission.”

Ojetola said those who are yet to register or those who misplaced their voter’s cards or anyone who might need to travel to perfect their Permanent Voters Registration or transfer their cards are free to do so without hindrance.

“The exercise will resume next month,” the statement concluded.
