The Stallion Circle, Epe, Lagos, will launch an endowment fund to support students in the pursuit of their education in the town.

The newly elected President of the Club, Mr. Debo Abdulai, stated that the endowment fund is aimed at assisting the underprivileged students in their acquisition of formal education.

Unveiling the initiative during the inauguration of the newly elected executive members of the club in Okebalogun, Epe, Abdulai made a cash donation to kickstart the fund.

The fund, according to him, will provide scholarships, SSCE and JAMB forms for financially disadvantaged students in Epe.

While emphasizing the club’s commitment to uplifting the community since its establishment, Abdulai called upon civic-minded individuals to contribute to the fund to raise educational standards for the youth in the community.

He stated that the club’s objectives include “intervening in community issues, promoting development, and aiding the elderly and needy.”

The club’s vice president, Mr. Dele Imam, assured that the new executives will build upon the club’s legacy of service, stressing that members’ dedication to the club’s rules and ethics is key to achieving the club’s goals.

The Chief Scribe of the association, Mr. Nuhman Edu, disclosed that membership is open to sons of Epe who share in the dream of contributing to the growth and development of the town, adding that such people must be ready to abide by the principles and laws of the club.

The chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Engineer Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, who was the chairman of the occasion, congratulated members of the club on their achievements and urged them to partner with the government in taking Epe Division to greater heights.

“Coming together like this is a rare commitment because you invest your time and resources. I look forward to ensuring a good relationship with you because as a government we plan to take the Epe Division to a greater height,” Olowa said.

The council boss was also decorated as an honourary member of the club during the occasion.

Some beneficiaries shared how the club impacted their lives. Mrs. Amudalatu Ajoke-Oluwa recalled receiving money and food from the club during the pandemic.

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, some members of the club visited me; they gave me money and food items. I was so happy because it met my needs. Since that time, they have not relented in assisting me one way or another,” she explained.

Also, Mr. Ambaliu Borokini, who has also benefited from the club’s financial aid, wished the new executives well.

Dignitaries who honoured the occasion included a member of the House of Representatives, representing Epe Federal Constituency, Hon. Wale Raji; Chief Yemi Amele; Mr. Abiye Edu; friends, family members, among numerous well-wishers.
