Chief Executive Officers of all Federal Government Institutions are expected to appear before the House of Representatives’ Ad-hoc Committee investigating the recruitment into various Public Institutions including Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) between 2015 to date.

This was a sequel to the recent resolution passed by the House to investigate the mismanagement of Personnel recruitment, employment racketeering and gross mismanagement of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) by

Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Parastatals and Tertiary Institutions.

The following concerned stakeholders, and Heads of Federal Government Agencies and Organisations are: Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning;Office of the Accountant General of the Federation; Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN); Office of the Auditor General of the Federation; all Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs).

The Ad-hoc Committee is also expected to investigate recruitment into various public Tertiary Institutions namely: all Federal University Teaching Hospitals; all Federal Medical Centers, Federal Neuro

Psychiatric Hospitals, Federal Orthopedic Hospitals, National Eye Center and National Ear Care Center.

In the same vein, the Ad-hoc Committee led by Hon. Gagdi is to bram its searchlight into the employments approved for all Federal Universities; all Federal Polytechnics; all Federal Colleges of Education; all Federal Government Colleges; all Research Institutes; all River Basins Development Authorities; as well as all Commissions under the Presidency.

Some of the information requested for by the Ad-hoc Committee include: all records of Waivers and Approvals for

Recruitments from 2015 till date; all list of Staff recruited from 2015 till date, their State and Local Government of Origin; all Nominal Roll as at 31 December, 2015 till date; all report on recruitment exercises conducted from 2015 till date.

The invited stakeholders are also expected to.provide all the list of successful Candidates and criteria adopted for qualification for their recruitments from 2015 till date; all details of Waivers granted by the Federal Character Commission for Recruitment/Replacement exercises conducted or being conducted, reasons and criteria for such Waivers from 2015 till date; all Evidences/Certificates of compliance from the Federal Character Commission for such Recruitment/ Replacement exercises from 2015 till

date; all records of Staff recruitment of the Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA’s), Parastatals and Tertiary Institutions on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information

System (IPPIS) from 2015 till date; as well as challenges and way forward towards improving the process in order to give each and every Nigerian equal opportunity in a more transparent and competitive manner devoid of any discrimination.
