Tammy Brown has hailed the decision of leadership of All Progressives Congress APC Rivers State for adopting Arch. Tonye Cole as our APC governorship candidate for the 2023 race in Rivers State. I am optimistic that he will win as the next governor of Rivers State.
He further hailed the leader of Rivers APC Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi for his stance and determination for a Riverine Governor in Rivers State after His excellency Hon. Nyeson Wike in 2023.
Tammy is a Chieftain of the APC in Bonny LGA and a former youth leader in Finima Community. He explained why he became too interested on the choice of Tonye Cole and as his preferred candidate was as a result of his visit to Finima Community during his 2019 Governorship campaign tour to all LGAs and Wards in the state.
He stressed that Tonye is a better candidate and had good leadership qualities, competency and interest for Rivers people and I am convinced that he will bring the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of Rivers State.
Finima Community is in total support of the decision to had zoned Governorship to the riverine Ogu/Bolo, Akuku Toru, Asari Toru, Adonni, Opobo/Nkoro, Degema and Bonny where Arch. Tonye Cole has emerged. We are very hopeful that other parts of the state will join forces with the Kalabari for victory come 2023.
I believe that with Tonye Cole Finima will be recognised by Government as no governor apart from during old Rivers State, late Senator Milford Okilo of blessed memory who visited Finima in the early 1980s.
I mean this is a Community that is hosting the major IOCs I.e. Shell, ExxonMobil, NLNG, Chevron etc. and yet we are not recognized in politics and other sectors in the state.
He further hailed the decision of the honorable minister of Transportation Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi for making the case for a Riverine Governor from the riverine extraction for justice fairness and equity for all.
