An associate and close confidant of Chief MKO Abiola, when he was alive, Alhaji Sufianu Kazeem has described those behind Interim National Government (ING) plot as “enemies of Nigeria,” urging such persons to desist.

Kazeem, who is an Ibadan-based businessman, added that intent on or pushing for ING is wicked, unpatriotic and retrogressive.

Pointing to the late MKO Abiola’s battle against the military government, Kazeem said those making calls were either not students of history or ignorants.

In a press release, Kazeem said those calling for Interim Government were no doubt working to unsettle and cause a crisis in the country.

Kazeem said he was dissatisfied with the way with which men of the Department of State Services (DSS) were handling the development, warning that, if not well handled, it could degenerate into a serious crisis.

He, particularly, called on security agencies to be alert and protect the nation’s democracy against unnecessary agitations and protests.

He also warned those threatening a smooth transition of power from President Muhammadu Buhari to the president-elect, Senator Bola Tinubu on May 29 to desist.
