The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Kano state command has confirmed that three persons have lost their lives, while two were injured in a three-story building that collapsed at Kuntau Quarters, Gwale Local Government Area of Kano.

According to NEMA Kano Territorial Coordinator, Dr.Nuradeen Abdullahi,  confirmed the incident and casualty figures on Friday to press

He recalled that at about 9:20 a.m. on Friday, “We received a distressed call today from a good Samaritan that a three-storey building under construction collapsed at Kuntau quarters.”

After receiving the information, we quickly sent our rescue team to the scene.

He then stated that out of which three were confirmed dead, while two victims sustained injury and are receiving treatment”

Dr.Abdullahi, then said that the search and rescue operation was still ongoing to rescue those trapped as at the time of filling this report
