Troops of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army deployed to Karim-Lamido local government area of Taraba on Thursday neutralised a bandits camp, killed 3, and recovered weapons and ammunition.
Brigadier Kingsley Uwa the Brigade commander disclosed this while expressing the command’s significant victory against criminals in Taraba.
According to Uwa, the operation took place in Chibi village where the 6 Brigade troops acting on actionable intelligence, conducted a precision strike against the criminal.
While thanking the troops for their bravery and efficiency in executing the operation, described the engagement as a demonstration of the troops’ unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security in Taraba State.
He promised the military’s determination to rid the State of criminal elements and ensure the safety and well-being of the citizens.
Uwa disclosed that 2 AK-47 rifles, a motorcycle used by the criminals, and a cache of 40 rounds of 7.62 MM Special ammunition were recovered from the bandits.
