Mohammed Fawehinmi, the first son of the late human rights lawyer Chief Gani Fawehinmi, is dead.

The 52-year-old passed on in Lagos on Wednesday

Mohammed was born on February 21, 1969.

 

He had his primary school at Kotun Memorial School, Surulere, Lagos and his secondary education at Federal Government College, Sokoto.

On September 23, 2003 while returning from his father’s law firm, Mohammed had a lone car accident that confined him to wheelchair.

 

He is a graduate of Business Administration of the University of Lagos in 1991.

He obtained an LLB degree from the University of Buckingham, England and was called to Bar in 1998.

He has over 20 years experience in the practice of law.

Until his demise, he was the Head, Mohammed Fawehinmi’s Chambers, Director, Nigerian Law Publications Limited, Director, Books Industries Nigeria Limited and Director, Gani Fawehinmi Library and Gallery Limited.

In a 2018 interview, unmarried Mohammed had said he wouldn’t want any woman to marry him on the basis of pity.
