In a remarkable acknowledgment of dedication to the development of African nations, Dr. Thomas Ogungbangbe has been honored with the prestigious Thomas Sankara Prize for integrity and transparency. The award, named after the iconic Pan Africanist and former President of Burkina Faso, Thomas Sankara, recognizes individuals who exhibit unwavering commitment to the principles of integrity and transparency in governance and leadership.

Dr. Ogungbangbe, a renowned Pan African patriot and Chief Executive Officer of CITA ENERGIES Limited, received the esteemed award for his relentless efforts towards the advancement of nations across Africa. His steadfast dedication to the ideals of integrity and transparency echoes the visionary leadership exemplified by Thomas Sankara during his presidency from 1983 to 1987.

The announcement of Dr. Ogungbangbe’s accolade was made public during a ceremony held in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ogungbangbe extended his heartfelt greetings and warm felicitations to Muslims worldwide on the joyous occasion of Eid-El-Fitr.
