Foreign Investors Network (FIN), a prominent driver of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Africa and other developing economies has nominated Engr. Meyen Etukudo, the Managing Director/CEO of Ibom Power Company Limited, for the FIN Award of Excellence 2023.
According to the UK-based company, the award will be presented to Engr. Etukudo in London during the FIN Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition, scheduled to take place on the 18th and 19th of July 2023. Engr. Etukudo will also serve as a special guest of honour and speaker at the conference, which focuses on enabling LNG energy in transition.
The nomination was conveyed to Engr. Etukudo in a letter signed by Dr Alex Itkin, President of the FIN Group, and Dominic Ajayi, Chief Operating Officer. The organization, with over 20 years of experience, stated that Engr. Etukudo was nominated for the Award of Excellence in recognition of his “doggedness, dedication, and commitment to the service of his country, Nigeria.”
“We are also impressed with your impeccable track record of implementing practical improvement initiatives at Ibom Power, which have enhanced organizational effectiveness and restructuring of power supply in Akwa Ibom.”
The organization further highlighted that Engr. Etukudo’s successful leadership in the Akwa Ibom State power sector has set a benchmark for other indigenous power-holding institutions.
