The Ibolo Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture ( ICCIMA) has set to extend a partnership gesture to One Innovation Hub in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The development was borne out of the fourth council meeting of ICCIMA held on 28th of December, 2021.

 

 

The Meeting which was held at Avalon Hotel, Offa engaged the audience with a presentation on how to embark on digitalization of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) in Ibolo land.

While delivering lecture on digitalization of SME and how the ICCIMA can partner with One Innovation Hub, Mr. Muhammad Lawal talked about method and ways to digitalize small and medium sized enterprises in Ibolo Land. He added that the establishment of relative e-commerce platform, business initiative, acquiring of skills, team implementation of business plan among others are key factors towards achieving a digitalized enterprises.

 

 

While discussing the impact of digitalization on small and medium sized enterprises, he said ICCIMA is one of the channels that will boost the digitalization of entrepreneur in Ibolo land through a robust partnership with One Innovation Hub. He added that digital presence, increase in revenue, providing access to higher customer services, enhancement of customers’ experience among others are impact of digitalization on SMEs.

Earlier, the President of ICCIMA, Mr. Paul Olagunju said the chamber has already started impacting on the communities, thereby enjoining people in Ibolo to partner with the chamber for greater development.

 

 

Speaking further, he said the chamber is in collaboration with Development Governance International Foundation ( DGIF) which enabled the chamber to broke number of partnerships that will be further explored.

According to him, ” ICCIMA presents the most powerful platform to channel Government Interventions to business as a well organized movement of business with established structure in Ibolo land. We are business advocacy organization passionate about the development of Ibolo land.”

 

 

He therefore pledged that the chamber will remain focused on its goals of being the voice of business in Ibolo land and a champion of socio-economic development in Ibolo communities.

The branch manager, Zenith Bank Offa, Mr. Ifeanyi Anyanwu, in his goodwill message commended ICCIMA for coming up with the idea of improving economic situation at the grassroots. He noted that the chamber has demonstrated a unique value of getting people engaged in one economic drive or the other, adding that the bank as a financial institution is ready to support ICCIMA in terms of credit facility.

Also, the Managing Director of Ibolo Microfinance Bank, Mr. Olawoye Oladele said the chamber is a good tidings that is happening in Ibolo land. He therefore congratulated ICCIMA and pledged more support to the chamber as a subsector.

 

 

Mr. Abdulrouf Olabode in his vote of thanks appreciated the financial support of Olofa of Offa, Oba Muhammad Mufutau Gbadamosi Okikiola Ajagungbade l, Esuwoye ll, the Offa Descendant Union represented by its national secretary and other representatives from various communities for making the fourth council meeting a successful one.
