OSUN POLYTECHNIC S.U ELECTION: NANS ZONE D FAULTS ISEC CHAIRMAN, TEMIYE OLUWATOBI FOR GROSS ELECTORAL FRAUD AND MISCONDUCT, DEMANDS CARETAKER TO PREPARE AN ELECTION TIMETABLE WITHIN 2 WEEKS
The zonal secretariat of Nigerian Association of Nigerian Students Zone D frowns at the recent turn of events and development following the Student’s Union election which was unfortunately postponed.
The zonal leadership led by Comr. ADEGBOYE EMMANUEL OLATUNJI after due consultation, inquiry and investigations passes a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE on the ISEC Chairman, OSUNPOLY S.U, Mr. Temiye OLUWATOBI.
After due consultations, the following facts were ascertained
Mr. Temiye OLUWATOBI disenfranchised the Nigerian Students from voting at FICT 2
(Computer science and OTM) and FSC 2 (SLT and Microbiology) poling units
Mr. Temiye OLUWATOBI-led ISEC failed to ensure the safety and security of the Nigerian Students who came to vote as Bees were released into the electoral venue hereby distrusting the electoral process.
Mr. Temiye OLUWATOBI tampered with the election results by fraudulent addition of votes for an aspirant.
The ISEC failed to provided insufficient poling units at 2 populous voting area hereby disenfranchising students from their rights to vote and be voted for
Mr. Temiye OLUWATOBI-led ISEC failed to communicate with the students as at why the election was postponed.
A Caretaker for the Students Union of OSUN POLYTECHNIC, IRE were selected by the Polytechnic’s Management.
After due consultations, the Zonal leadership under the administration of Comr. ADEGBOYE EMMANUEL OLATUNJI on behalf of the entire student’s in the South West demands:
Mr. Temiye OLUWATOBI-led ISEC should step aside from the electoral process
OSUNPOLY STUDENT’S UNION Caretaker Committee within 2 weeks of resumption should conceive, formulate and assemble an election timetable to usher in democratic elected officers of the students Union.
The CARETAKER, OSUNPOLY STUDENT’S UNION should ensure the election process doesn’t exceed 2 weeks as not the affect the Academic calender of the Polytechnic
The Polytechnic’s Management should resist any temptation of influence the election in favor or against any aspirant and allow the students to elect their representatives.
Comr. ADEGBOYE EMMANUEL OLATUNJI pleads with the entire students of OSUN POLYTECHNIC, IRE to keep calm and maintain peace and order as their rights to elect their democratic representatives won’t be trampled upon.
Comr. ADEGBOYE EMMANUEL OLATUNJI restates his commitment to ensure the welfare and security of the Nigerian Students under his jurisdiction.
