Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa kingdom, Oba Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe, has felicitated with the Owa-Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba (Dr.) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, on the occasion of his 84th birth anniversary.
Owaloko, in a congratulatory message on Wednesday, described the Owa-Obokun as an exceptionally rare gem and an amiable personality who is “unputdownable.”
Oba Ogungbangbe, who ascending the throne in July 2021, espoused all the encomiums and adulations showered on the first class monarch on the occasion of his 84th birthday, describing them as a fitting representation of a revered leader.
“His Eminence Oba (Dr.) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, is a wonderful traditional leader and very highly detribalized religious figure,” the Owaloko monarch said.
Oba Akeem, who observed that the Owa-Obokun does not customarily celebrate his birthday, noted that it is nonetheless germane to celebrate the spiritual leader of the entirety of Nigeria’s Christian faithful on this particularly significant day.
“On behalf of myself and kingdom, I wish to say that the Owa-Obokun of Ijesaland is enigmatic and pragmatic person, who has contributed to peace, unity, and development of the State.”
